Complete maintenance of 43 hectares of sports turf across 24 sites within the City of Onkaparinga.
BTM is currently in its 20th consecutive year across multiple contracts.
We are responsible for the following tasks across the sites:
- Reel Mowing
- Rotary Mowing
- Deep Tine Aeration
- Hollow Tine Coring
- Pest, Disease and Weed Control
- Topdressing
- Scarifying
- Direct Seeding
- Hydro Seeding
- Returfing
- Irrigation Maintenance
The mowing works are scheduled on a seasonal basis with minor adjustments made by the contract superintendent on a weekly basis depending upon individual site needs. For example weekly reel mowing of cricket grounds during the cricket season requiring double cutting at short notice due to growth factors usually determined by the prevailing weather conditions.
Renovation works are carried out as programmed by the contract superintendent within the specified timeframes, usually with 3-4 week notice.
Irrigation audits and maintenance is carried out between August and April each year and BTM employ staff with site knowledge to make this a streamlined process.
